For too long, women have been expected to push through exhaustion, emotional shifts, brain fog, changes in their bodies, and a loss of identity, all while caring for everyone around them.

This belief is deeply rooted in the experience of our founder, Nicki Baker, a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with 17 years of clinical experience caring for women across their lifespan.

Nicki’s passion for women’s health began early. As a little girl, she would reach for the pregnancy and anatomy textbooks on her mother’s bookshelf, fascinated by the complexity and brilliance of the female body. Long before her first period, she had a collection of pads and tampons simply because she felt drawn to understanding women’s health. Some kids collect baseball cards; Nicki preferred a collection of feminine products! But it wasn’t until midlife that her passion became her purpose.

In the summer of 2023, Nicki found herself in a moment of unexpected vulnerability—tearfully confiding in her brother that she felt stuck, lost, and unlike herself. The spark she had always recognized within seemed dimmed. Despite being a seasoned clinician, she felt the same confusion and frustration that so many women quietly carry.

This moment of honesty became a turning point.

Nicki uprooted her family of six, moved to a neighboring state, and created the space to reconnect with who she was and what truly mattered. She immersed herself in research on women’s midlife health, determined to understand why so many women feel invisible or dismissed during this stage of life. Her journey led her to deepen her expertise and earn certification as a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP).

What she discovered was undeniable:
Hormones matter.
Brain health matters.
Women matter.

And the world deserves a better, more compassionate, more innovative way to support women in midlife.

Mindful Midlife Health was born from this mission.

We exist to bring clarity and compassion to the midlife experience—to bridge the gap between medical knowledge and how women actually feel.
